I tried to reply a few minutes ago, but I'm not sure it got sent. This public message thing is new to me--I'm not even sure how I happened to find your message. I'm very familiar with private messages, but not public. Guess I need to read up on it a little! In any event, if you already received a response, sorry about that! lol
I lived on Long Island until I was 14, then moved to upstate N.Y. when I was almost 15. We moved wayyy upstate--northeastern area--Saranac lake (near Lake Placid) about 50 mi. from the Canadian border. It was very COLD up there, but the change of leaves was just magnificent!
In 1971 we moved back to Long Island (I was married with one son then) where I lived until 1991, when I moved to the Phoenix area.
