Wasn't sure I would get a card done for today since I had a dentist appointment and no real quote stamps. But, in between my pools I was able to swing into Michaels and they had some really cute stamps that I just had to purchase. So thanks to clean pools I was able to get done early today, make a card and make my dental appointment! Next week is going to be bad since Saturday it is going to rain. Rain brings wind, and wind knocks leaves into the pools for some crazy reason. So I probably will have to work longer days next week. Don't know why I am sharing this with you when I should be telling you how I did my card. So.....here are the details.....
Stamped my doggie on white cs, drew his bed and the rug underneath it. Masked him and stamped the wonderful weaves on his bed. Colored all of it with koh--i-noor pencils blending w/gamsol. Masked it all off and stamped the flowers for the wall paper, used scor pall for the lines. Sponged with tattered rose. Drew the base board and colored it with re-inkers then stippled the carpet. Cut this out with my oval coluzzle then sponged and doodled the edges.
Stamped my sentiment, I mean quote. Rounded the corners, then sponged and doodled the edges.
Put the brown dp on a white card, added my oval panel, then popped up the sentiment. Added a doggie bone because that is what Rosco dog would have by his bed if I would retrieve it from under the refrigerator! LOL There you have it!........TFL :0)

Love this card!!! I can relate to the quote. Since I have been unemployed, I still have not had time for a nap but I am going to work on it. Your added touches to the dog scene is just way cool. When I play pictionary, my stick figure with hair is a woman and with no hair is a man; boy or girl if shorter! lol. You draw your own props!!! I am back to thinking your are related to Chris and unfortunately for Anne, she is my sistah!!!
hugs,
cj

Yeah, Nutmeg, it is too darn bad that I cant figure out sputnik's comment, but this isnt the only time I've been in the dark! Sweet card today. I have a huge heart for dogs being fairly loyal to goldens, but this one here warms my heart, Nutmeg. Your card is so sweet and I love how you pulled a puppy taking a nap with that sentiment! Amazing, I say. Maybe sputnik does need to start taking some of those naps between her dye jobs, so she can show us her creativity in some new cards. Loved your story too! Damn those Delta breezes ... they always do a number on the pools!
