This was a difficult card to get to work, and I have no one to blame but myself. You would think that if you were going to suggest an idea for a challege theme, you would already have a great idea or supplies that you wanted to use. Not only did I not have an idea, but I don't even own any wraping paper. After tearing the house apart I found this piece of wrapping paper that had been used on a gift that someone gave to me. Most of it was torn or very creased, but I did salvage enough to fie cut the rectangle in the middle layer. After coloring the image it did not look too good, so I colored more leaves, fussy cut them and used pop dots to give it some dimension. If you are like me and have only made about 4 holiday cards, join us in this week's F4A challenge which is perfect for making holiday cards.

Your paper and ribbons in purple are such a nice change from the normal Christmas colors, Francie! You've made such a fun card! I Love the gold accents and pretty coloring~

Darn, I think my notifications must have gone AWOL again. Purple is a colour I love for Christmas cards - and is a great setting for your wonderful holly.

Oh, Francie, with all the rummaging around, you've made a gorgeous card! I love it! I have a roll of Christmas wrapping paper that will outlive me. I bought it years ago, and it was about two inches thick from center to the outside - I rarely use paper anymore, so I know it will last me forever! Don't we so often use bags and gift cards? Anyway, it was worth it all, my friend! Hugs!

Wow, you've brought your unique and stellar style to today's gallery. Yikes, you only have 4 cards made. Not to worry: there's always hallmark. Your card is stunning, Francie. I always love to see what colors you bring to the gallery. The design is wonderful as well. Sorry you had to tear your home apart to find wrapping paper, but the end result was certainly worth it.
