My idea of summer is spending time at the beach...not the kind with people tanning elbow to elbow though! In my *perfect* world I would be on a secluded beach with only the sounds of the waves caressing the shore to stir me from my daydreams!
I created this scene using bits from different stamp sets. The clouds are from Inque boutique, the sailboat, and seashells are from Stampin' Up!, and the grassy bits and the sticks are from My Favorite Things.
I made the waves and the shoreline by sponging along a torn strip of paper, and moving it around as I liked.
I like how the scene turned out, but I kept trying to think of ways to embellish it to make the card. I just couldn't figure out a way of incorporating anything that worked. So it is what it is. A beach scene.
Thanks for taking a closer look!

Yes my dear! It is what it is and I'm all for that! Beautiful work. The stamp mix the soft colors, love that little sailboat, I can easily see you just sailing along in there and once at shore just lying lazily playing with those branches and building up a fire. Great work Deena! I LOVE IT.

Kudos, girl! I think the scene you've created here is absolutely 100% magnificent! I love those teal clouds and twigs and shells! Deena, this is by far one fabulous card.
