As Hostesses for the upcoming Book Club VSN, we were given a challenge to make a card inspired by a book cover. This is my interpretation of this particular cover design of To Kill A Mockingbird.....there actually are several jacket designs. My card was inspired by the the Pale Plum color and the swirls.....hope it makes sense!! LOL I stamped the butterflies again in the plum and glitterized them and popped them up at the body and "fluffed" up their wings! And even though it was a tight squeeze, the sentiment Happiness Always is soooooooooo appropriate for me when it comes to my escape of READING!!!!
Be sure to watch for all of the Book Club VSN challenges and join in!!! And I hope you all get to find and enjoy some priceless reading time!!

Gorgeous card, Lee!! Beautiful colours and love the sparklie butterflies - this is just gorgeous!!! I can certainly see how it is inspired by the book cover - which by the way is a great book - but then you know that don't you.. I read it way back in high school!!

Lee, this is absolutely exquisite. Wonderful interpretation, Wonderful book, Wonderful write up. The colors in this with the gold, the ribbon and the hardware make this just lovely. You're an artist, glad you got time to play.

Fabulous card, Lee, I love everything about it! The sparkly 3-D butterflies are gorgeous and I like how you strapped down the ribbon with the sentiment embellishment. TFS!
