OK, so this was a feeble attempt at humor...For all of you Saturday Night Live buffs...this card is for you...!
Molly Shannon played a character named Mary Catherine Gallagher who went to a Catholic school and was shall we say rather...eccentric? She was always doing monologues from things like "the Amy Fisher Story", and splits in her little plaid skirt saying "Superstar!" at the end! I SOOOOO wanted to try to do a Catholic School uniform for this challenge, so I tried paper pleating again, and it did NOT go as well as it did the other day on my card. I stamped an older plaid background stamp on navy paper, in white pigment, then added some baroque burgandy marker on some of the lines. This was such a challenge because I kept wanting to reach for more than 2 embellishments, especially ribbon!!!! So this dress looks slightly "cuter" on top than a button down, but at least maybe I could send it to someone now!
I chose the sentiment because it was the closest thing I could get to.......SUPERSTAR! (Imagine me doing a split with my arms up at my laptop right now!)

Yikes, I'm catholic and well remember elementary and high school plaid uniforms. This card is an exact replica of what I wore in high school for 4 years! Your card looks so much better than that uniform though! I think this is card is so adorable: love that dress and 2 buttons. Very chic.

Aaaack! Catholic flashbacks! Yeah, I wore one 'o these elements of torture, and a dumb plaid beenie too. Can ya see that? A little fat girl with white sparkly cat-eye glasses (yeah, like what was mom thinking?) and that uniform to top it all off. Natural birth control- that's what it was! Lol! Anyway, back to you sistah- OMGOSH! What a cute card, other than the memories that make me shudder a tad! Lol- great ard sistah!
