This LO is in honour of a friend on the scrapbook forum.
In November, Cheryl aka Motherload was chosen as FS. I was so happy to read that Cheryl had been chosen and always intended to honour her by scraplifting one of her pages. Unfortunately life got in the way and it has taken me a while, but I finally got there today.
I also wanted to scraplift one of Cheryl's pages for the February scraplift challenge so I am double dipping. This will also go in the Alpha challenge for L = lights.
Here is Cheryl's original page....I loved it as soon as I saw the arrow and colours...
I hope that I have done her proud. Cheryl is an amazing scrapbooker and I am always finding inspiration from her LOs.
I should point out that some of the edges were done with scissors I first purchased about 20 years ago...I have a set of about 20 pairs all with different edges. When I recently decluttered my craft room I was going to throw them out. I decided to keep them on display for our grandchildren to use but I am now finding they are coming in handy lol. Unfortunately the photos are covering the edges up but they are there lol. Can you believe it has taken me 20 years to finally use one pair lol. Get those scissors out scrapping friends.
I should point out that this page is part of a few that I have made on an evening in 2017 when my nephew was invited to a small country village to switch on their village Xmas tree lights. The whole village turned out and it was very festive with some people in Xmas dress including the local donkey decked out in lights. Unfortunately my photos didn't come out so well that evening but these are the before and after. It took 3 attempts to finally get the lights on their large Xmas tree on...a technical glitch lol and fortunately all the spectators thought it was a hoot and we counted down until they worked. I added some fussy cut items from other photos to show that the village had lights on elsewhere. It wasn't entirely dark lol. Such a wonderful evening.
Cheryl, I hope that you enjoyed your special week last November. It was so well deserved. You are an amazing person and scrapbooker.
TFL. Happy day
Ps...the stickers are so old that I was worried they would not stick...it's so good to finally be using up stash lol
