This LO is for the Mix Challenge and also the Alpha challenge. G= Gratitude.
I was inspired by not only being able to pay a surprise visit to see my sister after she had recovered from a major illness and surgery, but also my gratitude and thanks to be able to participate in such events at a small village in Derbyshire where my nephew was asked as the local MP to turn on their Xmas lights. I felt very privileged and proud and the whole evening brought me so much joy.
As Karl Barth said... Joy is the simplest form of gratitude.
The switching on of their Xmas lights was followed by carols, mince pies and mulled wine in the church. Santa also came to visit including his donkey decked out in lights. Unfortunately I missed a photo opp for that one!
The carols service sheet was torn and dyed using a few inks and distressed on the edges. The yellow BG is supposed to depict the stone blocks and arches in the church. I can see it LoL. Journalling is written on the back of the photo which lifts.
TFL. Happy day

Beautiful set-up for the photos, background colors for the dark photos work well, the textured piece does remind me of the building texture - how artistic of you to bring all this together. Wonderful work creating this impressing page. A blessed memory!
