This is another paper I bought from Paper Mojo. I love how the blues just scream at you. Had a hard time figuring out how to use it without hiding the shock factor of the in-your-face blues. Anything I put on it totally diminished it. Finally decided maybe the best way to show off the electric effect it seems to have is to embellish it with itself. So I cut flowers out of another section of the paper, glued them in the center on top of the existing flowers a little off center and gently lifted the petals up for a 3-D effect. Naturally I had this compelling need to edge it with the brushed gold dp. I always seem to have to pop that Midas Touch on something. It still didn't seem to stand out as much as I would have liked. Dragged out a herd of solid color CS to test each as a background. Of course I didn't bring out any black CS thinking that would be too much darkness with it. That was a lesson learned. Found I liked that look the best when I laid it in my lap for a second. It looked pretty good against my black jeans. Problem solved. Put it on some good deep black CS. Not all black CS has the richness you crave for a certain project, but this one did. Don't know who makes it though. After it was all done and ready to roll I looked at it again. My little brain said...it needs a little touch of somethin' somethin'. Of course my mind immediately went to Gold. So I went searching for something gold. Everything I searched out was just too large. Finally I thought of some itty bitty gold word stickers I had bought years ago. They are really tiny and I didn't really want to use them because they are hard to work with. Just removing them from their backing paper is enough to put you over the edge. You need a very finely chiseled fingernail and a pointed tweezers to detach them and as you're slowly and carefully removing them from the backing you notice they are stretching totally out of shape...and sticking to your fingers. When you finally have them off the backing and stuck to your fingers you have to exorcise them from the last finger they have attached themselves to and that is the biggest challenge of all. It requires prayer and fasting. If you finally detach the leach of a sticker from your finger you find that if you actually want to adhere it to something else you must wrestle it back into shape. Without having it stick to your other fingers. Should you get past this step you then have to attach it to the paper in the exact perfect spot, not letting it go uphill or downhill, but exactly perfectly straight...and the letters should definitely be in a straight line. Should you be blessed with that actually happening, you then realize you have to put another sticker right next to it and your mind freezes. But if you live long enough to accomplish this you end up with a decent looking card. I have since put that sheet of stickers away in a safe place where I know I'll be able to find it. Thanks for looking.

Are you still fasting and praying after the tremendous challenges faced when creating this gorgeous 3D work of art? I received gold Asian stickers as a RAK and they are a bear to use. I feel you pain.
Love the gold and black together. Early on, I used to use black all the time but never really saw much in the gallery, so I stopped using it for the most part. I think letting your paper do all the work for you was the perfect decision for this beautiful paper.
I'm sorry I didn't see this when uploaded. That's surprising because when I upload I always go through what I thought was all the days' cards. Your card warrants more exposure. Have you thought about getting involved in some of the challenges? Hugs and love, Anne

Wow, this card does deserve more views - what a beauty - I love how the pop of gold calms the "electric" blues down, though I DO love them!!

Your card and the description are both marvelous! I am glad you had the patience and determination to add those stickers, they give a beautiful effect to the card. Loved the 3-D effect idea that you thought of! Beautiful card.
