Love my Paper Mojo paper!!! It seems I can throw anything on their papers and it looks good. I had been lusting after this cute little carousel horse for awhile, but never got around to ordering it. I had BIG plans for it but after really thinking these ideas through they fizzled out. One Marvelous idea was having 3 horses on a card each in a different position on the pole...like when they go up and down on the carousel. I wanted to have one higher on a pole, one lower on a pole and one as is. As if that would work! HA! I realized I would have a hole in my pole if I tried to do that. It wouldn't work. A dilemma. Next I wanted to put together some sort of fancy schmancy mirrored carousel background behind the horses. But in thinking that one through I decided to chuck that idea realizing it would be months in the making, if I did it the way I really wanted to. Another dilemma. Several other ideas just weren't worth wasting brain power on. Just as I was writing this I thought of a way to solve one of my dilemmas. I must have had a cog loose in my brain. Such a simple solution. I'll work with it and see what happens.
As soon as this paper arrived I sent for my horse, grabbed my gold paper and ran with it. But when I put it together it didn't look as impressive as I hoped it might. It was too flat. Had to raise it up. Ran for my foam tape. Paused. Was I crazy??? That pole has to be only about 1/16th of an inch wide. I don't think my brain or my eyes will let me cut a strip of foam tape less than 1/4 inch wide. Good Grief! Am I going to have to go out and buy one of those magnifying glass things on a stand that has something that holds onto a thing so that someone with a limited amount of magic can make something spectacular out of a tiny little something? Didn't want to go that route. Then I said to myself: Just DO IT! You can do it! It can't be that hard. Just pick up the scissors and do it! So I did. And it worked. (Just now I went and measured it and it is 1/16th inch wide). I felt like I had all thumbs when I attached it to the back of the pole part. Then after adding multiple mini squares and rectangles of foam tape on the back of the horse I attached it to the paper. I thought it looked much better. I really should have more confidence in myself. I'll have to work on that. Things generally go better when attacked with confidence.
In real life I'm really not this long winded. Don't know what comes over me when I face a large blank space that must be filled. Thanks for looking.

You and your stories, Ellen. Your paper is delish and adding the pole and your horse was simply a spectacular idea. I haven't seen that die but I did just purchase a die you've used in the past though. Do you think you'll ever ink up some images? I've been waiting and waiting and waiting. Will my wait ever be over? Hugs to you and Ern.

Both of your cards are gorgeous but this one is my favourite mainly because of the beautiful paper and your carousel horse. Being a County Fair person I have a special place for them. Absolutely spectacular!
