I did this card over a period of a week so can't really remember all the layers as mixed media tends to morph from the original idea. My first attempt was to cover the beautiful Ryn humming bird with distress inks and use Jennifer McGuire's ink lifting technique http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2016/02/lifting.html. I wasn't happy with the result, so I then moved on to colouring the bird with some shimmery paints, I then attacked it with some stamps and stencils then finally with some pearlecent inks prays. Mixed Media is such a fun process
I'm entering this for the Designs by Ryn monthly contest. http://designsbyryn.blogspot.ca/2016...challenge

Love that humming bird and your background just captivated me! SO many interesting layers on that one! I'd just love to watch you create this! Fantastic mixed media!

Some great images, techniques, and shimmer on this card. Loved reading your journey on it. Fun, fun, fun and the result is beautiful. Hugz
