Thanks so much for the brilliant challenge Dina - coffee!!!
I used an 8" square lid from a container. I added 3 tablespoons of coffee and about 5 tablespoons of boiling water. Stir and let it cool.
After my blue/black hair phase in my twenties, I moved on to my red Henna phase. It wasn't the authentic henna it was just heaps and heaps of very strong coffee. Ahhh the good old days.
The reason I mention this is because the girl tag was coloured in earlier this week using Prismacolour pencils, but I mucked up her hair (orange red). This coffee challenge was the perfect solution. In real life her hair looks streaked and very shiny! I would have paid serious money for that colour in my day LOL.
The butterfly tag was made by dunking the tag into the coffee. The butterfly was lightly painted with various strengths of coffee.
I found a foam stick called "Fantastix" in the bottom of my tool kit - I have no clue as to why I bought it but it was great for randomly adding coffee spots.
I am still away with my limited supplies so this challenge was perfect!! Thank you for looking.

Aah! Coffee ... I think I must investigate the MIX challenge next week! Your butterfly is amazing, you must have used a brush with 2 hairs! The markings are wonderful.

Fabulous! I've never painted with coffee but painting is a technique that gives me hives! LOVE the girl and the hair is gorgeous, Susie, streaked with sunlight! Love that and love that image. The butterfly- outstanding! What incredible hues you achieved with coffee!
Off to shop for that stamp now! And finally a victory- a notification after about 4 months! Yippee!

Gah!!! BOTH of these show such depth in the coffee coloring - limited supplies, huh?? Amazing what you find in the bottom of your toolbox, isn't it? Well, you made the most of what you had ( coffee is a given if you are away camping!) wherever you are - both of these are fabulous!!!

Susie, Susie, Susie, you are a silly, funny and talented stamper! Your images are both wonderful in your coffee stain. I love the hair from your twenties but I love that half butterfly as well. You sure do know how to color. No one would question that.

Oh Susie....I'm tearing up. My eyes are dewy. These are just Amazing!!! Your butterfly looks almost real. And your Beautiful girl with her hair wisping (is this a word?) around her, with that touching sentiment, is striking! The coffee coloring (Superbly done, I might add) really gives both such an aura of Drama. Beautifully done!
By the way, are you related to that tall narrow clown in the circus who pulls 200,000 things out of a small duffle bag??? I am in Awe! Or did you bring 5 whole trunks full of your creative gear along?

Stunning! Wow, these tags are fabulous. Love your painting skills with the coffee. Both are so unique and special in their own way. I can't decide which is my favorite. Amazing artwork. Thanks for sharing!
Wowzers! Two amazing tags! I can imagine the girl in deep contemplation. The butterfly is so striking! Hmmmm do you think coffee would color this gray mop I wear on my head? I am allergic to hair dies. I might have to give it a try.
