I made this for today's WT challenge to use buttons an lace. Fun challenge! I found some lace that my mil gave me from a yard sale and opened it up for the first time. The coolest thing, Is that it stretched out almost 3 times as wide and has that netted look! Glad I finally opened it! I used the netted lace on one end. Then to bring out the lacey pattern on the other end I used a piece of scrap lace and sponged over it onto the green with dark brown ink. I added a little more lace and some buttons I colored with my markers. The stamped image was also colored with the spectrum noir markers.

Stamps: the scripture came from blue ridge impressions, the sewing machine was a stamped image sent to me by my cousin. Sorry, I do not know the maker.
Accessories: lace, buttons, ribbon, and coloring with spectrum noirs

Sewing themed cards are my most favourite kind. I love all the great details on this one. The buttons, the lace, your wonderful image and that stretchie bit on the end. What a nice MIL you have.

Wonderful card with the sewing theme, Geni. The lace and buttons seem such naturals with your old-fashioned treadle sewing machine image. Great layout too.

Love the spools of thread on the floor, the balls of yarn in the basket, the fully loaded pin cushion on the table and how about the kitty sitting close by for company! Now, I call this a sweet occasion! Lovely image and the added lace from the yard sale find is the Best!

Ah ha, a mil who can spot a great deal at the garage sale! That is so perfect for your sew theme. Love everything about this, your lace and buttons. Very cool.

Oh gosh, I totally LOVE your image. It's adorable, and the buttons and lace go with it so perfectly. I like the knitting basket sitting on the floor beside the sewing machine .
