Yes, Bev (aka Maxell), is our deserving Queen for the Day this week! While Bev has many beautiful creations in her gallery, I immediately fell in love with her gorgeous Cardinal Holiday card seen here:
Things I changed:
1. colors
2. stamps
3. added ribbon
4. different Nestie shape
This is a one-layer card. After I dry embossed the Labels Ten Nestability shape onto the Soft Suede cardstock, I white embossed the largest Evergreen tree from the Rubbernecker Evergreen Trees set. I sponged Soft Suede ink over that, wiping any excess off the white-embossed tree. I painted the snowy ground and falling snow with white craft ink and white acrylic paint. I sponged the outer edges with white craft ink and then distressed the very outer edges of the cardstock with Soft Suede ink. Added the bow to the top of the tree and was good to go!
Enjoy your reign, Bev, and thank you for the inspiration, as well as all the support with your comments, you give us!!
I'm also submitting this into Julia's Way to Use It challenge to use brown(s) in your design.

Charlene, this is gorgeous. Love the white and browns together and the soft sponging around the edges. Into my faves to case later.
Thanks for the inspiration and for taking the time to browse my gallery and make a card. Loving my time on the throne, although it is hard to get any work done with a crown on my head-where are my subjects when I need them??

Well, you certainly caught my attention with this stunning card - love the feel that I am looking at a tree through a looking glass, as the snow is gently falling. Wonderful card to honor Bev!!

Well I cut right to the chase here and tell you this is one absolutely gorgeous card, Charlene. Oh my, I love that dry embossing technique. When I tried that I ended up cutting through both my mats. So exquisite in brown and white. You got yourself a major win right here with this one, girl.
