i finally got around to creating a card based on this one from MariLynn's gallery. instead of watercolouring the holly and berries, i tore up some christmas scraps and sponged the edges with gold ink. i was so preoccupied with matching the shapes and sizes of the leaves that some of the text is upside down. oops.
congratulations MariLynn; i hope you enjoyed your time in the spotlight and your crown.
edited: i doodled the holly shape i wanted on the back of the paper with a pencil and then tore on the lines.

I'm beginning to sound like my mother: How many times do I have to tell you to knock it off? These cards are killin' me, Linda. What part of knock off do you not understand? Let me know; I'll help you work through this, I really will. Oh, now finally, you've done something that even I might be able to case. Right into the faves this one goes. How perfect and perfectly Christmas this is. This is the answer to my prayers. I think I really can make this. I'm gonna let this one slip, for the time being. But I'm telling you you'd better knock it off.

What a classy card!! The gold along the edges is way cool. So simple yet striking. Way to go, Linda
