Annie Mae Appleseed recently signed a contract to pick apples up in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire. SheÂ’s a pro (she can pick 42,000 apples an hour), but thereÂ’s some resentment about this cute little gal coming to town. You know what they say, it only takes one bad appleÂ… and it seems that BAD APPLE just sits in the trees waiting for Annie. As she starts to pick the apples, he repeatedly knocks her on her fanny!
For all of us Teapot Tuesday gals, our mission is to search for clues and expose this villan for the bad apple that he is.
Well, lookie here! WhatÂ’s that hiding in the crotch of the oleÂ’ apple tree? ItÂ’s a BASEBALL! Could the bad apple be a steroid-using professional ballplayer, and furthermore, is he a friend of Maxie? Have we solved the mystery, or is Annie destined to keep on pickin' herself up, dustin' herself off and startin' all over again?
Since I donÂ’t have any apple stamps and IÂ’ve been wanting to photograph this ancient crab apple tree anyway, off I headed with camera in hand. The baseball was a surprise, but it sure helped tell the story.
Save me some tea ladies (or better yet, some of Bertie's apple martinis). I'll be back later.

Love it! I make a lot of cards out of my photos too, and appreciate the use of the colors in the papers and ribbon - excellent choices! just like matting on a framed photo!

OMG! How cool is this! I am so happy that this challenge motivated you to photograph this ole tree especially if that's something you have been wanting to do. I betcha the baseball is most definately involved in Annie ending up on her Fanny! It makes perfect sense! Hee!
What a great job you did making use of an awesome photograph in place of stamps to fit the challenge...and the fancy border and ribbon is the perfect finishing touch!
So glad you could come again....and treat us with this special card!

Looks like a bit of serendipity at work here! I love how you took the teapot story and added your realistic photo and twisted the real life news to make this come about. Genius! Wonderful photograph too!

This is a gorgeous photo and a very pretty card. You are a wonderful photographer. As for Maxie - I'm sure she is BAD!!! I'll bet she's dating that baseball player too!

Oh my goodness - what a tree! I've never seen such a crab-apple tree before - so full of character. And what luck that there was an old baseball stuck in there. No stamps were harmed - you mean we're normally damaging our stamps, LOL.

Wow, talk about your perfect picture here! I sure love how you dollied it up...not that it needed some. Nature does quite good on it's own huh. LOL Well, sure glad you came to the party and sang that pretty song. I was thinking of Dream boat Annie when I named my card, and I keep to keep humming it since then. It's a sweet song, so not so bad.
Love your red border and the baseball...what a catch! I mean, well yeah that's anothe story I suppose. As for sweet ol' Maxie, she is just a bit of a show off, I talked with Bobby and he said he would love to come over and help solve the mystery. No, no, no, don't get any ideas now, I'm coming with him. LOL
I was so pleased to see you at the party! Come again now won't you!
