Some of you know how tied-at-the-hip I am to traditional colors for holidays. As tame as it may seem, incorporating the lime and the pink in a Christmas card is my trying something new. It's also a new attempt for me in that I mixed DPs (not from the same paper pack even, LOL).
The card base is good ol' GA Pacific. The DPs are from the Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby). The bottom stamp is Stampabilities, also from HL. The top stamp is from Canadian Maple Collection (a M's purchase, maybe).
The black ink is Ancient Page coal black; the red, pink and green are Marvy LaPlume's. The ribbon is SU's gable green (a lucky match).
I also used MS's loop punch (loving that on Christmas cards), an EK Success corner rounder and Nesties labels 3 & 8.
Adhesives include Scotch ATG glue and Zots (to elevate the candy canes).
I like this overall but am still trying to figure out something else for the bottom - just needs a little something more. And, if I were to do it over, I'd run the stripes vertically.
The white nesties are outlined with the markers; the rest is obvious.
Someday I'll figure out how to make my white NOT look blue in a picture - in the meantime, sorry for my poor digital photog skills (where is my SLR?).
TFL.
