I looked at the IC this morning and thought help - this isn't my style. But there was still plenty of inspiring stuff. I based my card on this Earth Day second run design. I changed the blue-tit to a robin to suit the stamps I had. Also, when I was gardening yesterday, I was digging compost from my compost maker into a new garden bed. It was full of worms - I'd have preferred them to stay in my soil, but one of our local robins thought that I'd opened a special eat-all-you-want buffet just for him, and kept coming back till he'd collected any worms that hadn't burrowed down below the surface.
The base is A2 cream. The next layer is cream Mi-Teintes pastel paper, trimmed down 1/4" from A2, stamped with Weathered in bown, sponged with brown chalk, with the edges distressed and curled and then sponged with dark brown.
The main image is Winter Robin from Kodomo. I stamped the robin and branch on green card with markers, and then coloured over them with Coleur D'Art pencils. Then I stippled the whole thing lightly with brown ink and a stencil brush. After that I tore it to size, covered with Versamark and built up 3 layers of UTEE, as for cracked glass. While the top layer was still warm, I stamped it with Just Dandy inked up with white pigment ink. Not being big into vintage I am not big into cracked glass, so I just let whatever cracks happened naturally happen. Normally I'd melt them back down, but in this case I'd lose my dandelions, so I have to live with them. Then it was just a case of adding this to the Weathered layer with snaps, and mounting on the base card.
Fun.
TFL.

Sabrina you did a Wonderful job on this!!! I'm not very into the vintage either. I love the part where you put the UTEE on and stamped the dandy's in white. The torn paper was the right touch too!
