I found this great layout on the demonstrator side of SU's website and shared it with one of my customers. It's fun to see what different people come up with when looking at a sketch. I kept the embellishments to a minimum since it's a masculine page.
I started with a 6x6 piece of Textured Riding Hood Red cs and added a layer of designer paper from the Urban Garden collection. I notched two corners of the dp with my 1/2" circle punch. My photo and journaling piece are layered on Not Quite Navy cs. To replicate waves in the lake, I scalloped the edges of Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy cs and layered them together on the bottom left. I then stamped the swirlie-thing from Trendy Trees in Craft White onto Not Quite Navy, punched it out with my 1" circle punch and added a silver brad that was embossed with white embossed powder. It's layered on a 1 1/4" Baja Breeze circle and again on a 1 3/8" circle of Not Quite Navy. (Each layer is separated by a Dimensional.)
Finally, I glittered up a chipboard star with Supernova glitter and added a couple of buttons.
