As soon as I saw this image sent to me by our very own sweet Peggy, I knew I wanted to make a card for my Mum. It reminded me straight away of a sketch she had done many years ago. I was home (in New Zealand) a year ago when my beautiful Nana passed away and it is at those times that you often reflect on what is important to you. I asked Mum if she still had her sketch book because I specifically loved that particular sketch, but she couldn't find it, which is so disappointing...so this stamp is a lovely reminder, so thank you dear Peggy, for this, it has taken me on a journey, back to a beautiful place filled with memories...I hope that Mum enjoy having it half as much as I have enjoyed making it!!
The beachside fence is made with toothpicks and wire, I wanted to stay in the theme of the image and these fences are so typical of the beaches here. I also used the button as it reminded me of a pretty shell, rafia was the way to go, ribbon would have been too formal, rafia has a more natural, 'earth elements' feel.
Thanks for looking, I always appreciate it when you stop by!!
Oh and..I would like to be able to take full credit for the fence, but I have to be honest and say the idea came from my DH...

Oh this is a beautiful creation. Wow, I do love the natural elements you added. That button looks like a sea shell. Beautiful soft blues will do it for me of course...I want to not say it but I have to: BLUE IS MY FAVORITE COLOR YOU KNOW. LOL
Lovely memories of Nana, how precious! I just know your mom will enjoy this you are in this card Linda.
About the fences around the Australian beaches, I didn't know they didn't have enough money to get the real ones, maybe I should start a fund raiser. LOL

Beautifully coloured - and such a sweet image from our friend the Pegster!! She is one sweet lady!! Love your creativeness - the fence, the lace - all of the seashore extra's!
BTW - if you go back to my card of Maxie - you will see I have made a comment re - Anne calling you delusional. Such nonesense - if you look a wee bit further back in my gallery - same page actually - you will find the point at which I discovered that she is in fact a mafia / Hell's angel - and has gone to prison over that. I think at this point she is simply delusional herself. So sad, lovely Linda! Poor dear Anne!
