Yesterday I read a comment that said SCS was like going to card college. I agree. Well, I went to Zindorf distance learning college. I learned that I need to go to Dayton & learn to brayer from the expert. No, this is not brayered, that one is in the trash. I just sponged the sky. I wanted to just CASE the sky, snow & trees from her tutorial 145 - Wonderful Snow Day.
I added a moon & cuttlebugged snowflakes. I used some stuff called Snow Writer that I got last year at Mike's & painted it on. It does need dry time, so I heated it.
As I'm writing this & looking at the thumbnail, it's kind of growing on me. I like it a little more. It kind of reminds me what it will look like outside my windows in a few more weeks.
So, thanks for reading my story & for checking this card out.

Karen, who needs brayering when you can sponge like this? Oh you poor girl: you think you need brayering class from Zindorf; I'm telling you to get a grip! Your sponging is every bit as great as brayering. Plus, I'm not sure I would glean the same sense of a winter wonderland if your bg was brayered! I, amongst thousands of card college graduates, think this is pretty darn spectacular. Can we end this litte saga now? Fabulous card!!!!!

Well I can tell you, if I could sponge that good I wouldn't be worried about brayering. I like what you did with the SnowWriter. I ended up painting it on recently too, but that was more because the nozzle seemed clogged. Lovely winter scene you created here.

I loved reading about how this card came to be! I'm with you on the learning that takes place on this site! I feel that was especially in regards to using ribbon, though brayering is definitely another one. Your card is striking and grabbed me from the thumbnail. keep on puttin' up and learning this one's a beauty
