This is for WT187 to use a monogram. Monograms aren't really my thing so I especially wanted to do this challenge. I had all of the negative alphabet chipboard letters but no actual letters. I used the W negative and sponged Ballet Blue on white cardstock and cut out and applied falling snowflakes and embossed with white ep. I wanted to offset the blue a little with the contast of the white flakes. I stamped Mr Stix and the mittens on scrap watercolor paper, colored with reinkers and cut out. I stamped the Evergreen tree on a plain piece of white cardstock to be the background for my "Winter Snowball Battle". I applied Liquid Applique to the ground area, dabbed with my finger to spread it evenly for snow and heated. I also spread LA on a scrap piece of paper, heated and cut out tons of snowballs with a 3/8" circle punch and to attach to the scene. I mounted the W on mounting tape and attached to the scene. I mounted Mr Stix on the top of the center of the W and piled on the snow balls for his arsenal. I attached the mittens to the upper corner and created a large pile of snowballs on the lower opposite corner for balance. Mr Stix is a great snowball warrior and is the winner of the winter battle.
Colors chosen from the SU Color Coach under Ballet Blue heading.
I posted a tutorial on my blog this morning giving hints on how to create snow with Liquid Applique. Check it out if you are interested in how to create even snow without the dreaded "blob".

Fantastic card! LOVE all of the snowballs....wow, that's a LOT of work....I can so appreciate the tedious details! So cute that he is sitting on the 'W'! Love it!
