Kim, thanks for bringing a fun "ways to use it" challenge today. So many possibilities...so little time! I chose to highlight my inital with a charming vintage image from an illustration found in a book circa 1870. My community was fortunate to have a rubber craftsman who adored finding line art images in old books and turn them into rubber. I am blessed to have a few of his works!
The inital is from a font called Rubber Stamp Madness...yes the one the magazine uses. It is made into rubber by MaVinci. It is inked with TH di spiced marmalade and embossed with clear ep. My elephant carpetbagger is walking away with it. I inked the pachyderm with Memento London Fog and also embossed with clear. I colored him with Copics and cut and placed on the GP white cs. He is stamped on SU basic grey. The screws are from a set by Starving Artistamps...they were inked in ColorBox lava black and embossed with Antiquities ep. I cuttled and embossed both of the rectangles with my Nestabilities. The image and mat are placed on a 'carpet', Wild Asparagus floral home double sided paper. I just had to add a trim that looks very carpet-ty. It is stapled on...seems I am using lots of staples these days...not elegant for sure, but so handy!!!
I'll be sending this to DS, dear Sam...it reminds me of his first college visit to the campus...I took pics of him walking away from me, pulling his rollin' tote...hummmm every thing in life is connected! Thanks for looking at my work and your comments are always treasured...put into that carpetbag of my mind!!!!
I am editing to add I viewed this on another monitor and my carpetbagging elephant looks so dark you can hardly see how wonderful he is...guess I'll just have to use him again down the road!

Wow, Susan! This is really wonderful! Of course I love the DP, but that is such a unique image - another in your seemingly endless collection! The trim is beautiful! Hope you had a great visit with your son this past weekend!
