Happy Easter Saturday!! Here is a card that is wintery (but I had fun creating it with an Artistic Outpost stamp, Winter Walk)- I have owned this stamp for a few months and this is the first time I had a chance to ink it up :-)
Here is a card I just made- used a couple of stamp sets and some ribbon that hasn't been used in quite some time. I am very happy with how it turned out. I started out trying to CASE the card on page 126 of the SU book but didn't like how my heart turned out so I changed it up a bit. Here's a card which uses a stamp I bought in a sale some years ago. I think this is the first time I've used it. It went so well with the "It's my Party" DSP
I also created a card and posted earlier this month (forgot to link here)- this one uses a brand new Artistic Outpost stamp set but I also finally used some ODBD background paper (Heart & Soul) that I have owned for at least a year or more :-) Not a stamp but wanted to share MIX146 Ice Cream Happiness by Julie Gearinger
Hey Julie, I'm in ... as long as I can remember to post here as well. Don't we all have stamps we had to have and then never did anything with them? That's me all right. Great way to be inspired to use those stamps we've somehow forgotten about.

Woohoo Anne!! So thrilled that you are joining us- I think almost everyone has some stamps that are not "loved" as often as we would like :-) Hugs, sweet friend!
Anne, love your fun card with those ladies and Sharon, what a great card using that wonderful stamp set and DSP- thanks for the inspiration, Ladies!!
Anne, my hubby, Dave is doing very well with maintenance chemo every two months (he has gained his weight back and all of his hair has grown back- thicker, gray and to his dismay, very wavy :-) I love the waves though and tell him to be thankful that he has hair- lol!)
Hi everyone! Do you mind if I join in? I'm not letting myself purchase anything for a while, I'm ashamed at how much I have that hasn't been or rarely used! I've been having a lot of fun using my long neglected stamps! Here are a couple I've made if you would like to take a look:
I think I've only this particular stamp once since I've had it: STV16MON14 by LMcAree - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
This set hasn't been out of the package in quite some time! PP289 by LMcAree - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Julie, did you ever think your challenge would take off like it has? Good for you. I think you're just the person that inspires us to pull out what we've already got on hand rather than getting buying more. Thanks again. This has really been fun.

Lori- so thrilled that you are joining in!! All are welcome to join in and have fun- I am also trying to curb my spending this year since I know I have over 500+ stamp sets and many have never been inked (bowing head in shame)...
Looking forward to seeing your artwork in the USEIT2016 gallery- hugs!

Anne, thank you for your sweet comments :-) There have been USEIT Challenges in the past (I found the USEIT2015 last year) but it did not seem as though the OP was posting to the thread toward the end of the year and since there were a few of us still actively participating, I posed the question if I should start a 2016 thread and the concensus was "yes"!
So thrilled to see you, Lori and others jumping in since I personally think this should be something all of us strive to do - use what we already own :-) I know that I am guilty of buying way too much- as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for 16+ years and being my main "customer", I am trying to use what I have bought :-) Plus I am loving some of the new items from many other companies as well (Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, Our Daily Bread Designs, Artistic Outpost, My Favorite Things, Graphic 45, etc.) - so again, trying not to buy or at least use what I buy- lol!!
I have recently found that possibly the "thrill of buying" during a big sale may be my issue (cannot resist 50%-75% off) so I have been praying as I put things in my "cart". Once I put items in the cart, I really look over the list to see if I "need" this or "want" this and most of the time, delete the cart since really I do not "need" anything at this point so this has worked fairly well so far:-)
Thanks again ladies for joining in and remembering to link to the USEIT2016 Gallery so we can encourage each other to not become stamping/craft "hoarders" and create cards to bless others with our purchases - at least this was my original intention- lol!!
Hugs to all of you and I hope you have a blessed week!
Thanks so much for the warm welcome Julie! I agree with Anne, you are very encouraging and so sweet! Something that has helped me decide if I really "need" something is pinning it on my wish list on Pinterest. After some time goes by it is interesting how much I don't have much interest for after initially seeing an example of a great card! I have a lot of great stamps, dies and embellies to keep me busy for quite some time!
Thanks so much again girls!

Wow, that is a fabulous idea- thanks for the tip!! Hugs :-)
Hi Everyone!! Here is a card that I used Nature Silhouettes (retired SU!)- I have not inked this set up for quite a while plus I do not recall ever making a card with the wolf image.
I also used retired DSP- Outlaw with a bit of sewing :-)
So glad to hear Dave is doing better. Sounds like Dave and John are at about the same place. John goes every other month for chemo, too. Praise God: He has been great to both of us, Julie. Hugs, Anne

Sue (Mrs. Noofy) so thrilled that you linked your card to our challenge- welcome!!
Thanks Anne for helping to promote this challenge- again, one that I think almost everyone could link to at some time :-)
Yes, the Lord has been so good to us- so thrilled to hear that John is doing chemo every other month as well...will continue to pray for both of you....
Hugs to all of you- want an encouragement you are to me and so thrilled that we are getting a chance to know one another better! I hope all of you have a fabulous weekend!
I think it's totally awesome that so many stampers have caught on to the idea of ... using what we've got rather than pushing that credit card to the limit.
Janet, I was overwhelmed with your gift card shirts yesterday. they are absolutely the best of the best right there.
Just a shoutout to all ... if you ever see any images in my gallery you'd like, just let me know. I'd be happy to send them out to others.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Julie I am ecstatic with the news about your husband. Praise God. John hasn't regained all the weight he's lost but his chemo didn't touch his hair. thank God ... he had so little to begin with. LOL. I will keep you both in prayer.

Thank you Anne Ryan for pointing me this way! I have a lot of stamps, tools, and goodies that I've had for a very long time that have yet to see ink or a piece of cardstock! While I'm enabled very easily I must say I HAVE to begin using! This challenge will be the perfect "tool" to dust these old and some kind-of-new but not used stamps and thingies off and get to usin' !!
My card was created using a stamp set from a company that is no longer in business and it's taken me 8 years to ink it up! Images and sentiment from There She Goes Flowers of Happiness stamp set.
Welcome Vickie! I'm new around here myself. This group is so great!
I'm finding myself thinking more about what older images I have to use for cards which I haven't ever done, ha!
So glad to hear both of your husbands are doing well Julie and Anne!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend, hugs to all!
Hi Everyone!! I am now officially hooked on the Smakin' Acetate technique (an "oldie" but "goodie")...I had been using a craft mat for this type of "smooshing" but am finding that the clear envelope (for my acetate) is giving a bit better results :-)
Here is a card that I created using the sailfish image in From Land to Sea (never inked this one yet) along with Bravo (it has been a while since this set was inked as well).
Hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend- hugs!
This has been a fabulous challenge. Thank you Ms. Ryan for the 'heads-up'! My resolution for this year was to use as much old stuff as I possibly could. So far it's been going as planned! I have only purchased one new thing..a die..but it was on sale so I couldn't not make the purchase. Here is another entry to your challenge. TLC581 CAS372 Tip-toe Through the Tulips by Mrs Noofy - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Here is one more card using the image from Work of Art (background on the sentiment) along with the elk from The Wilderness Awaits (he has not been inked in a while :-))
Mrs. Noofy, how fun to have you join this illustrious group of stampers who are on, what I think Lynn said, a buying freeze. Loved your card today, too.

Julie, you sure were busy today with all the cards you've brought to the gallery. Where do you come up with all these great designs? Each one is just gorgeous. Hey, everyone, one of Julie's cards was 'cards for a cause.' this month cards for a cause are sending cards to a nonprofit that renders services to veterans. Anyone interested can go to Theresa's challenge, "Cards for a Cause' found in the forums area.
Hugs
