I just stumbled across this thread (via Lydia's Blog) and am looking forward to participating this year. MD Anderson took very good care of a friend battling stage 4 triple negative breast cancer last year. She lost her fight last November but not for lack of trying or the support and care of the MDA Staff. Very happy to pay it forward in any way I can.
Sorry for your loss! You will have a blast! This is one of my favorite things on SCS! I look forward to Oct all year long.
I'm excited for October! I love Hope You Can Cling To!
Among all the crafty goodness for cancer awareness, it means revitalization of the GREAT RECIPE SHARING project! So check it out and start your October menu plan now...more time to stamp later, I promise! :p
Hi all -- can't wait for the challenges to start! I have some travel planned for October so probably won't make all the challenges but I will do my best! I haven't been around SCS much in the past year - gotta change that!!
Can hardly wait till October 1st! This is my absolutely all time favorite challenge on SCS. The first week of October is very busy for me, so my cards might not get done or posted on the actual day of the challenge, but the rest of the month is not as hectic for me.................let's hope it stays that way
I get my mammo on October 2nd and happy to get squished, considering the alternative.
Hey there "luvtostampstampstamp"................best wishes on your delivery. I can vouch for Octrober 17th being a very good day to have a baby..............it just happens to be my birthday
Let the challenges begin!!

Thanks! We'll see! I'll keep you posted! Hoping I go earlier, but it's never happened yet! (this is #4!)
Yay, it's the last Thursday of September! October is going to be an awesome month for me, overwhelmingly so!! I love fall anyways, but HYCTT and my baby's arrival are over the top!
October 1st is my birthday! You can't go wrong with an October birthday!
Rebekah, my cousin is also due on the 17th!

I thought I look if there are already news about HYCCT 2015 and there are so many threads **lol**
Last year it was so much fun and I can not wait to see the first challenge ! Here we go !
I never commit to a *precise* time because then people think I'm dead if I'm not exactly on the minute.
But generally, everything should post before 9 AM Central time each day But if it's 9:15, I'm not dead and there's no need to worry It takes about an hour to move all the samples and then get the challenge posts ready each day, so it's not an exact science - it's a fuzzy science. Like this.

Hi All! It's been fun reading everyone's comments. My DH and I will celebrate our Anniversary on October 5th....not a birthday, but still a very important day for us!

Well, thank you, Ann! We were married on October 5th, 1974. I will add that we have 3 sons: Joshua-34, Caleb-27 & Jeremiah-26. Joshua has 2 sons: Alexander-9 & Harrison-8. And that's the extent of our family except for our 2 female poodles: Autumn & Bella, both 4 year old siblings. :p

Today I had a chance to read thru the thread. I have no Idea if I'll get anything done this year but I'll be checking in to see what the challenges are, and maybe post a comment or two.
This will be the first year since HYCCT started that I may not get any/all cards made or uploaded. But what I really really want to know is, where is Greywolf? I loved seeing her cards posted and I know she struggled last year. If she is still with us I hope she can drop in and say a little hello.
Looking forward to October and the fun it brings and the challenges that just must get "squeezed" in as well. One of the best things I do with my cards is when I mail these challenge cards to MDAnderson. I also take this opportunity to send my many friends who have survived breast cancer a card of love and celebrating this victory with them.

Roberta,
Another thing we share besides our love of card making, we both have all sons!!
I have 5 sons, the oldest will be 34 in March and the youngest 25 in March!!
And we also have two female dogs, Iris and Athena, sisters and they are Siberian Huskies.

Theresa,
Sent Greywolf a pm asking how she is doing. She has not posted a card it looks like since January 2015.
Afterglow: I had ten similarly bent paper crafty friends in my house this afternoon, inky and chatty-- totally loving the time together and projects. Love the paper tricks afternoons.
Well, one of the projects is the card I'd designed for an upcoming swap. Theme? Breast cancer awareness month. I requested that theme, and am inviting others in my swap group to include some of their cards in my Anderson box. The swap is next Monday. Wouldn't it be cool if the box was filled before the first week in October was finished?
Now, to gather the energy to clean up and put away... (yawn)

I pray she is doing ok, she is such a fun lady!
Oh good, I hope she'll check in! I found her address and will send a card her way - I know she had some pretty major medical stuff after last year's event. Cannot do HYCCT without our MOM!

Awww, you gals are just so sweet to think of me. I just replied to Ann's PM explaining all the medical stuff going on THIS year, mostly related to 2 eye surgeries to remove scars and 2 scheduled (10/12 & 11/16) cataract surgeries. My vision has been messed up all year. :( And, I have 11 medical (docs, labs, surgeries) appointments between now and Christmas.
I hope to stop by and at least do some commenting and maybe even join in a few challenges. I so enjoyed HYCCT the first 3 years.
Hugs & blessings to my SCS friends and "daughters."
Here it is Sept 28th, I am ready set and waiting for GO. The past few years that I have participated in the HYCCT were great fun, I know Lydia and the other hostess' will have some amazing challenges for us. Reading the THANK YOU Letters in the warm fuzzy pages were all the inspiration I needed. Going to cut card stock now. Bring IT!
