I'm a little confused Kelly....is that your blog.......it doesn't identify you anywhere. Are you the one interviewing the writers?
It kind of does. LOL I am the one being interviewed... aka Angela Drake ;-) So now you know what I look like. Goodness she made the picture big enough! LOL
The blog actually belongs to a good friend of mine.

Very cool Kelly! I'm thinking that's you pen name??? My girlfriend has just recently began to have success with her writing and it is so very exciting to "ride along" with her.
Yes, Toni, Angela Drake is my pen name for most things fiction. I use my real name for freelance and a different name for my spiritual freelance.

So glad Debbie that I'm not the only one who only likes hot dogs with fried onions, i can't eat them without onions , I thought maybe it was a British thing not having other toppings, I don't even like ketchup on them. well I don't like ketchup on anything.
Love how opinions vary. One gal posted to MY author blog last week... she gave a cooking tip: when you think somethings missing, add ketchup LOL

You must be one very busy lady Kelly, don't know how you fit everything in, I don't have enough hours in the days and I don't work any more.
I don't either, Jan. There are days I go through here like a whirlwind and other days I do nothing but sit. LOL On the days I go through like the whirlwind, I am very organized.

Oh I always wanted to be able to paint, shame but after stick men I'm struggling!
I've tried but, no can do. I see some really lovely watercolours on cards on here, very envious.

Don't be envious, Jan. The watercoloring is easier than you think.
1) Stamp your image
2) trace the inside edge of your stamped image with watercolor pencils or watercolor crayons
3) using a damp paint brush (or one of the brushes you fill with water) and draw the colored pencil line away from the edge into the center of your image to fill it in. You can also 'lightly' color the whole image in with the watercolor then swirl your damp brush around in it to give it that 'watercolor' effect.
And if that's not easy,
Using a solid image stamp, color it with the watercolor crayons, mist slightly with water from a mister bottle and stamp. Wala... instant watercolored image! :-)
Give it a try, you'll be expanding your painting before you know it.
P.S... I always said I couldn't paint, either. Then I took a series of One-Stroke classes at Michaels and found I 'could' paint. LOL It is the only thing I am NOT self-taught in.
Have fun!

Bob and I are taking off early in the morning for 2 days of relaxation in Eureka Springs AR. I'm not even taking the computer with me so I wanted to get this posted tonight.
Okay ladies... I have an EASY one for you this week ;-)
Henry Ford was born on this day(30th) in 1863.
Your Challenge -
Create a guy card. BONUS if you include a car!

I don't think I have any car stamps. I do have one with a truck. Oh, but I believe I might have a car cutting file. Off to look. Hopefully, I'll find time to make a card soon. I do have a couple guy birthdays coming up in August.
On this date in 1911, we were given one of the most precious gifts of comedy we could have ever hoped for. Not only was this woman a ground breaker for female comedians to come, but she could play a dramatic role like no body's business.
Who am I talking about
Lucille Ball
Lucy was born on this date in 1911. Sadly, she left us all too soon on April 26, 1989 at the age of 77
Your challenge today is to honor the Queen of Comedy.
You have only two requirements:
Make it FUNNY
Most have RED

I thought you trying to see if we were paying attention, Kelly.
Naw.... I know I can always count on at least a couple of you to keep me straight! LOL
Oh, while I"m thinking of it. I heard from Sammy the other day. DH has been out of work so they've had limited internet use. He has a job now and hoping they'll be able to expand their plan to give her more on-line time. She said to tell everyone hi and she misses us

I finally got my boss's retirement guestbook done. Here are the many links to the pages. I showed it to her today and she loved it. Of course, the titles on the pages mean nothing to anyone but her and the staff. I should have taken the time this morning to crop the pages so they would have shown up better. I'm just glad to have this project done. Next time maybe I won't put it off until almost the last minute.
Thank you, Sharon. She loved it. I was worried I didn't have enough pages, but there are pages leftover after her party this afternoon. She can use them for notes if she wants. I had enough room for a little over 300 signatures and 250 people signed the book. I am so glad the part is over. I didn't know our little library could hold so many people at once. It was a fun day for her. It's going to be so strange going into work tomorrow and she's no longer my boss.
Thanks, Jan. One of my coworkers told me I need to make another book for the county fair next year. I have until next July to come up with an idea. There's no limit to ideas. I just have to get started a lot sooner than I did with this book. I don't want to spend 2 whole days on it again.
Debbie, I see you've posted links to the book pages. I'll come check them out tomorrow after Bob has left. This is his last day home and it always seems to be FULL. LOL

Very helpful challenge as I have to make one for my Grandson, that's if I can find the energy, we have had extreme heat warnings for two weekends now, 38c in the shade for this weekend! I can image some of you have the same temperatures, we only walked to the dentist this lunchtime and by the time we arrived home we were both exhausted.
Not sure if my DH was trying to cheer me up, he said oh well only three months before we can light the log fire!!
That is hot Jan! It has cooled down considerably here this week.......now only getting up to 22C degrees in the daytime and it got down to 9C degrees last night. I had to wear a sweater on my walk this a.m. I think we are going to have an early fall........the mice are getting into my basement looking for a warm place to spend the winter. I have trapped 11 of them so far. Usually they don't come in until Sept. or Oct, and only one or two of them. I'm not sure what gives this year, but I don't like it!

The heat brings cockroaches, we only ever see one or two in the garden here but I was quite happy that none could get indoors but then someone told me they can come up from the drains into the toilet, since then Ive been putting triple strength bleach down the loo, we must have the cleanest drains in spain, Steve says the factory making it must have gone into overdrive trying to keep up with demand, he thinks its quite amusing how obsessed I am with them, we havent seen any though, I cant abide them, oh and earwigs, awful things.
HI everyone! Well, I finally finished VSBN and before that DTGD challenges. Finally had time to do my totals for July! You won't believe this : I am 13 cents in the good!
LOL
August will really look good because on my cards for DTGD and pages for VSBN I did more than one challenge on each item. That adds up at $2.00 a challenge!
Now, maybe I will have time to do the Kelly's challenges.
Jan I hope you get thru the heat. I don't think I could go thru what you are describing! eek! Finally cooled down to 90 here. We do have spiders coming up the drains, though.
Sharon
I'm surprised we haven't seen too many spiders. Maybe our spiders don't like the heat so they're hiding :P It's hard to believe that in just a few short months we're going to be complaining about the cold around here. I'm afraid winter is going to be very cold this year after the mild one we had last year and the hot, dry summer we've been having.
I should be working on cards instead of being on the computer. At the very least, I should be making my dad's birthday present. I want to make an picture album of my granddaughters for him. That's the best present I can think of for an 83-year-old who needs nothing and buys what he wants.
Hey ladies Jeremy is back to work at the university and we get our first check next Thursday!!! I will be back soon and should have some answers from my crazy drs by then. Miss you all!!
Jeremy also got an exciting new 2nd job as a chef teaching at a restaurant management school 2 days a week so hopefully things are starting to head in the right direction for us.
