Howdy Girls! I created a page last night! This was for a challenge at Totally Random that posts today to use your decorative edged scissors. It was actually kind of fun using those things again. Sometimes with all the new technology I forgot about the basics I have. Anyway, this was fun and I love, love these photos of my niece in her Easter dress. The photos our from when she was 3 yrs old. So fun and adorable at that age. I miss that. She started school this year. Called me this morning to say, "I'll be by to see you after I get done with school". So grown-up. Makes me sad. (In case you're wondering, this little girl is very near and dear to my heart. I can't have children and my sister had her when she was 40. Definitely a blessing and a bright spot in my life and hers.;))

Cool Challenge Tami... I have a perfect photo for this one, I hope I get a chance to put it together. I will be in and out this weekend, we have to work a show and our anniversary is Sunday!! So maybe I'll have to wait until MOnday to give it a try.
I clicked on the link and it says the item I am looking for has been removed. I want to see your card!!!
I see that and I don't know why that is happening.....I'll try and post something else later and see if I have the same problem...I simply posted it to my album so I don't think not choosing a "category" to post to should make a difference. I'll check my yahoo mail and see if the moderator sent me something. Honest, it is a perfectly acceptable little holiday card. I am not posting anything I ought to be censored for.
Try this...it is there now. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Reason: adding a link
Is it too late to join?? I just found this and think it's wonderful!! I am trying to keep caught up on my son's book (just a few months behind....) and want to join. I think I'll set the goal of 20 pages and a budget of $40. (GOing on a trip and will have to stop at a scrapbook store or 2!!) Thanks! This sure looks like fun!

Yeah, it worked! Finally got to see your adorable little card. ;)
This page was hard to do. Not because of the layout but because I had to look deep in my soul and write what NEEDED to be written. Not what everyone wants to read or see.
I think this is a good page, it hasn't made me cry yet, but I'm doggone close.
Journaling inside reads "July 2008: i took a long hard look at myself and this is what I saw. I saw a fat middle ages woman who hates herself. I saw a woman who doesnt care about herself anymore. A woman who never dresses up. A woman who never wears makeup. A woman who is severely depressed who is struggling to maintain her sanity. I saw a woman who feels she has failed.
I saw the smallest glimmer of hope in her heart. I saw a willingness to try. I saw alot of opportunites. I grasped one. I saw a smile."
I saw this sketch this afternoon and printed it off. I know which pic exactly I am using for this and which paper too. I thought I was going to work on it b4 I had to go 2 work, but I just wandered around in circles all morning, not feeling well so I hopefully will feel up to scrapping 2morrow b4 work now that I am done my book too.
Ok so far I have 17 pages done for Sept. that puts me @ 164 for the year!!
(Maybe I can work hard and get to200 by the end of this month (HAH that is funny. (I can certainly try tho)

Ok Tami, what's the big idea of bringing me to tears? No, for real, I love the page. Sometimes it is hard to dig that deep and you are such a strong woman for doing that. I'll take every step out of the dark with you if you need that. You are a woman who the world needs to get to know. You are an inspiration!
I love both of your pages. And from your pictures on the second one and your posts here, you are a beautiful woman, inside and out....you always have kind words and lots of encouragement for everyone...we all love you honey and will do whatever it takes to help you through....please don't hesitate to contact any one of us personally for empathy, support and praise!!!!

In moments of discouragement, defeat, or even despair, there are always certain things to cling to. Little things usually: remembered laughter, the face of a sleeping child, a tree in the wind—in fact, any reminder of something deeply felt or dearly loved. No man is so poor as not to have many of these small candles. When they are lighted, darkness goes away—and a touch of wonder remains.
