OK Scrappin' Friends! It's time for us to move on to AUGUST!! WOOHOO!! Let's start setting our August Scrappin' Goals.

If you weren't able to join us in Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, June or July PLEASE come and play in August! We had a SCRAPPIN' Good Time!!

Scrappin' Challenge 2008
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2008! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...

The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!

I met my July goal of 45, and I'm ytd 204, but I broke the bank at $69.
for August - 40 pages, spend no more than $40. My push this month will be to finish the kids' 2007 books!

i did 52 pages in july but only uploaded 35. so am i able to say that i reached my goal? i will upload later i just had a tough week.

my goal for August will be 31. i plan to work i page a day. i have a bad habit of working pages in groups. this month i'm going to try a new way of scrapping(more controlled). i'm also going to work on pages of my youngest daughter because this is her birth month. i would like to bring her book current. i don't scrap in any certain order, so this is a challenge i'm giving myself.

My goal for August 31/ $50.

I finally reached all my July Goals a couple of nights ago... So I am totally ready to move on the Aug! Ya---- August!!!!! I spent $10.00 in July.... I bought thin chipboard for grunge board. Works great!!!!

So it IS August now--the last month of this year with summer vacation days!! So, I will make another 35 for this month with a 30.00 paper and embellie budget--I am going to sign up for CTMH this month--so I dont know if that $150 counts--what do you girls think?????

You could... It's really easy! No pressure, if you join you will be put in a group of four women and the idea was to post often... encouraging thoughts and ideas along with words of wisdom and hints. My group started out really well, posting daily, sharing recipes, encouraging each other and then life happened way to fast and everyone just quit checking in and now I hardly ever go there. I know other groups work well and alot like the Ho's... Daily chatting, challenges and happy encouragement. I now belong to the 50-100 lbs group and it's great!!!!

Hmmm...good question...I would think NOT..because you are starting a business and that $150 is going toward BUSINESS supplies not PERSONAL supplies....of course that is just my opinion..AND you still have $30 to spend in addition!!!..LOL

Good Morning, Girlies! I kinda feel like partying today!!!


The rain has stopped, the sky is a little overcast, I'm thinking it will be Lego Day at this house! So fun, we pull out aaaaaaaaallllllllll the Lego bins and sit together on the floor and just build. Love it! I have scrapped and scrapped and will now load the second batch of pages onto my second key thingy to take to Superstore for the sale. I am so glad it was only a one week sale as I work best with a short time frame, kwim?! Plus, I don't think my eyes could handle a repeat of the long digi scrapping sessions I pulled this week! Happy to report that I'm done Jan, Feb, March of this year!!!!!!!!! THAT is a first for me...to be so close to "current". HOORAY!
We're going to be camping Aug 5-22 and my intention had been to bring the laptop, but you know what....I'm going to pack my up all my scrapcrap and take it with me. I LOVE scrapping when we camp!!! It's so......mellow and relaxing and 'the process' .... like Collette scraps! Can't wait. It'll be slooooow going and I like to scrap that way, too. Honest. I really do! And now that I don't feel so immensely behind in my current year, it's all the more fun to think of fondling paper again!

Do I sound like a total nut to you Girls? I hope not...:rolleyes:

Apparently I can't save pages to the key AND be on SCS so I shall go start my day, make sure we have the appropriate Lego Day snacks (juice boxes and popcorn) and chat with you later!!!!

Ooooooooooooooh, Valerie....CTMH........I've JUST discovered it and LOVE the papers and the prices for sure! I especially love the special deal kits they have where you get the paper and some ribbon for about $9.95CA (Boom-da-da-la is the current one)....such a deal......CONGRATULATIONS on signing on! And, no, I don't think that counts as it is a business expense....with scrappy benefits to you! :-)

Yahoo--Yes I love their papers too--and that is what it is all about for me these days--PAPER, but I have been really good--I am actually using up or giving away the dp I have been buying for oh, let me see, several years now!!! Happy camping with the scrappin'--I made reservations for 2 days in the Redwoods yesterday--so now we will camp for 1 day in Lassen National Park, 2 days on the Oregon Coast and 2 days in the Redwoods--wahoooo I can already tell--there will be a lot to scrap from this trip!!
