Welcome to the Labor Day Weekend Challenge! This fun challenge was suggested by Jami, our original LSC hostess!
We will be doing a One Sheet Wonder (OSW) using a 12x12 sheet of patterned paper. (This challenge is for designer/patterned paper. ALthough creating your own OSW with stamps is fun, that's not the purpose of this challenge.) PLEASE RAED ALL OF THE DIRECTIONS. I wouldn't want anyone to be disqualified from being a finalist for not following the guidelines.
Use 1 sheet of designer paper - you must use it all to create anywhere from 4-12 projects. At least 2 items must be non-card projects and at least 2 items must be cards (any size).
**Please read posts #102 and #115 on page 3 after reading this list of directions.**
Stamp sets - Limit 2 sets or 1 set and 1 BG + you may add a sentiment not included in your choice of sets Designer paper - 1 sheet - use it all CS - any Ink - any Embellishments - any
Important uploading directions: You must photograph the group together. These group photos will be the ones that are judged. When adding a link to this thread (optional), please link the group first. Adding links to inidividual cards and projects is an added bonus and optional. You must put LSC79 in the keyword box when uploading. Many cards gets missed by me because of missing keywords or incorrect spacing. Please be careful!
Judging:
Only one group entry per person. NO time limits! I want to see your best work!
You will have until Monday, September 4 at 3:00 PM ET to upload your entry. At around 9:00PM ET, I will post a new thread with a poll of all the finalists. You will vote on the grand prize winner! I will leave the polls open for 3 days.
Grand Prize:
1. The winner will be the next Sunday's Featured Stamper on my blog. (See my sig line.) This will include the photo of the winning entry and a link to the winner's SCS gallery!
2. You will be able to choose one pack of patterned paper from the SU! catty or mini!
I know that some people may like to donate money to increase the prize. I will NOT be able to do that due to new SCS regulations regarding prizes. I'm doing this from my own funds just because I want to have fun. I am hopeful that there will be no negativity regarding participants or judging so that we can continue to have these mini holiday weekend challenges. Thank you!

This one sheet challenge idea came from Jami once she did a 2 sheet designer paper project for the DD gallery. Although these pictures are from using 2 sheets, it gives you an idea of the amount of creations you will make. In the next post, you will see that this can be done with just one sheet as suggested by Jami. If you are not a paying member on this site, you will not be able to view these pictures. You will be able to view the next set in post three.
Here's the set I was able to create using just one sheet of patterned paper. It took me three days of stamping. I had no idea I could make so much. I won't hesitate to use patterned paper anymore!
(I did not photograph everything individually. The accordian book wasn't finished with photos and the scrapbook pages had photos of students. Remember, individual photos are optional, but they do help get a better look at the items.)

I've never really done a OSW before, so I may use some of my retired designer paper as practice. Can't ruin the new stuff! Not that I would ruin anything, but . . . ya' know! lol Let's get busy!
Wow! What a challenge! I don't have any patterned paper, but I may have to run out to Hobby Lobby (scrapbook paper is 50% off this week) so I can play. Thanks, Jen!
Oooo, sounds like a great challenge! I've never done a OSW before either. Of course, for me the biggest challenge will probably be coming up with something other than cards. Thanks, Jen (and Jami). Good thing you're giving us all weekend. I've got lots going on today and tomorrow.
Jen, this sounds like an absolutely fantastic challenge. I'm not sure if I can participate. We are supposed to go out of town for the weekend, but it if rains, we may be able to talk my husband into staying home. If I'm here, I'm definitely playing! Thanks for such a fun challenge.
Ooooh, what fun! Gotta go to work now but I am looking forward to this challenge; I have tons of designer paper and lots of things I've purchased with the intention of stamping/decorating! Thanks Jen for the challenge and samples and to Jami for the inspiration!

This is so perfect for me! I had planned something very much like this! ......Now to decide about the stamp sets and paper. I have a feeling the paper I plan to use will be over-used, but I need to do what I can make useful I guess.....oh sorry, thinking out loud!
Incredibly fun and exciting challenge Jen and Jami!!! Thanks!
Sounds like a fun challenge, Jen! Can't wait to get started. My poor DH has to work this long weekend, so I should be able to find some time to stamp - woo hoo!! I've never done a OSW, so this will be a first - gatta love these challenges!!
This one really will be a challenge for me, as we are leaving for camping in about 3 hours and returning Sunday--I guess I'll just have to spend the weekend dreaming of stamping, and will get to it when I get home. I can't wait!
yipee...can't wait to try this. I've never done a OSW either...seems like I've got plenty of company. And, Jen, you are awesome to work on this for us! Thanks so much!

Fun! We have Tropical Storm/Hurricane Ernesto here so school open houses have been canceled and I'm home!! Have some invites that *have* to be done before I can do anything else, though! Even if I don't get to play I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Happy Holiday Weekend!
Hmmmmmmmm...........my little guys official b-day is Sunday, but I'm already trying to figure out how to fit this in!!! This would be a good stretch for me!! But!!! If I can't squeeze it in, I'll sneak in some peeking at what you all are doing!!! (now....do I still have some 12x12 designer paper or do I need to sneak to a craft store???) THANKS JEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jen, I have never done a designer sheet OSW either. This sounds like tons of fun and I am going to do this one for sure! I know what 2 projects I am going to do and then I will probably do cards w/the rest of the paper. I am limited to my designer paper, so lots will probably use the same one I am choosing, but variety is the spice of life, huh? Thanks for such a clever & thought provoking challenge...probably will take me several days to complete...thanks for extending the deadline.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I've never done a OSW, but I have a couple of ideas already. Glad we have extra time -- won't be able to start until tomorrow! Thanks, Jen.

I have a mountain of PP, wanna borrow some from me? ;)
Very cool challenge. This may seem like a silly question, but if you use double-sided paper, can you, or do you have to use both sides? I just want to be sure before starting
Aw, shucks! I was hoping to do this challenge after I was done packing for camp, while waiting for DH to come home. I don't think I'll squeeze this one in though! I'll enjoy seeing everything when I get back on Wednesday!
