With the temps in the 80s here lately, and the clear, sunny skies, and all the stress of work, I've *really* been thinking of the beach, and the way time just stops there. Been listening to Kenny Chesney's Be As You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair a *lot*. . . I went to bed the other night, and woke up with this idea!
Cut 3in tall strips of metallic gold paper. Then I used my stipple brush to apply wide streaks of gold pearlex mixed with lumiere, then copper pearlex mixed with lumiere. When dry, cut into smaller pieces, stamped. Then I distressed with a sanding block. I *love* the look. . . and can't wait for our next trip!

Consider this CASED. I'm going to make it now. I've always wanted something to inspire me to use the Pearl-Ex other than butterflies and dragon flies and here it is! I wasn't drawn to this set, but thanks to the MANY talented artists on this site - it was on my preorder and it's the first one that I played with in the mini!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this!!!!!

THAT'S IT! I'VE HAD IT! I can't take you guys anymore with your fabulous cards and your stamps that I don't have! I tried VERY HARD not to get this set AND NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE! (Now the dilemma... order it NOW, or be patient and wait two weeks until my next hostess club meeting...) Hmmm....

After 11 years as a demo, guess I'm not so"new" anymore!
