I created this card for our monthly card exchange for Teapot Tuesdays. This month's challenge was: "A Reflection of Your Collection" by our hostess Sandy! I loved reading about how Teapot Tuesdays started, also!
I've been stamping since the late 80's, so I have a huge stamp collection...as, I'm sure, many of you do! I love stamping and have rarely made multiples of the same card over all those years! I love the process and creativity it takes to create each unique card. Now that I'm retired, I no longer have to stay up late into the night creating cards after a long day of work. However, I often still burn the midnight oil making cards. I love EVERYTHING about making cards!!! The possibilities are endless, and I want to try every technique, every medium, every embellishment and every new fold...did I say, I love making cards?!!
For this card, I used a 20 year old stamp. I colored my lovely stamping lady with colored pencils, adding Crystal Lacquer and Stickles glitter for some pizazz. I also made my wallpaper with some older tiny stamps in my stash. I used a decorator scissors for my bottom border. I pierced the 4 corners of my purple card stock for "extra cookies." I wanted to go back to the basics of stamping, coloring and layering!
Oh yes, I forgot to add that I stamped, "On a dark quiet night all you can hear is the thump, thump, thump of rubber stampers" on the inside of the card. Also, stamped on the envelope: "I think that I shall never see, a rubber stamp that don't need."
Thanks for a great challenge Sandy!

A fun card - and so appropriate for all of us. Stamping Lady really looks like she is enjoying what she is doing. Lucky Teapotter who gets this delightful card in the mail.
