I purchased a Jane Davenport colouring book. The pages are perforated so they tear out easily. The idea behind the book is to get adventurous with different mediums. Images are printed on various weights and types of paper.
I usually fail miserably at the colour challenge (I get carried away and add too many extra colours). Can't possibly go wrong with red, white and blue!
I used Blueberry and Red Cherry Gelato's, blending them with a baby wipe and added white dots using a paint pen.
The background was really messy, so I did a quick snip around the girls and pasted them onto crisp white cardstock. This is going into my journal with a big reminder to use gelato's more often.
Thanks very much for looking.

hey, I remember '75! haha I was never this glamourous though : ) super spectacular coloring, I am putting in my Favorites as I try to learn the coloring and the 'white' touches added. I never get comfy at that, but must try again. YOU are so inspiring to me. very cool wiping / shading. must add that too, next time. enjoy your day. love it all, you know that by now haha Teresa

This reminds me very much of fashion mags back in the day when we got sketches more than photographs in ads and also what I might see on the drafting table of a fashion designer.
Good one Susie!

this is so cool, Susie! I love that coloring book image..someone needs to make a stamp out of it. I've never seen one like it & I love it. Great job w/ the gelatos..I have some, but I haven't been able to lay my hands on them since we moved. they are obviously hiding from me!
p.s. my caps key is sticking so I don't always get caps when I want them, lol.

Wow Susie! These gals are some hot mamas! Gorgeous, brilliant colors for their outfits! I'll have to do some experimenting with my gelatos! Thanks for the inspiration! Great card!
