This is for JeanÂ’s fun Falliday ChallengeÂ…Are you a Good Witch or a Bad Witch? Team Glinda or Team Elphaba?
Most of the time I side with the good witch Glinda, but when I am using pigment ink you would think I was a bad witch. I stamped little George as an after thought and while I was trying to cover up the blue in his tummy I touched the pigment inkÂ…..I forgot it takes four and a half year to dry!!
Mrs. Murphy was stamped first, itÂ’s supposed to look like she is walking up a hill. I masked Mrs. M in order to do the sky using the Smack & Squirt technique (smack distress ink pad onto al foil, squirt on water and using a foam blending tool, scrub the inky water onto the cardstock). Because Timmy H still hasnÂ’t invented a really dark navy blue, I made a watery puddle using Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot distress ink. On the far edges of the card I scrubbed in some walnut stain distress ink.
I think a blend of chipped sapphire, black soot and walnut stain might make a good navy blue. Word has it the Timmy H is no longer Creative Director for Ranger, I hope he invents navy blue before he leaves!!!
I added swishes of silver Versa colour and white paint dots (using the pointy end of a paint brush) and some stickles.
I am also putting this card in the October Fan Club Gallery. This challenge (and gallery) is open to all Fan Club members.
Oh, Susie, what a fun creation! I actually love that oops-of-a-blur. It just makes me think that George is so busy devouring candy that his hands are all a-blur. ;)
I'm with you on wanting a good navy in the distress line. It's one of my favorite colors, and would be much easier if it was its own color and not a big ol' blend (my go-to are chipped sapphire, black soot and a touch of dusty concord - that bit of purple enhances the blue).

I personally nominate you for Ranger Creative director. Oh, the new hues you will bring us. Just look at your mixology...your homemade navy blue is gorgeous. I am always inspired just reading your creative process, Susie. Don't you think in the end, it truly is a feeling of having it right.

Ooooooo!!!!! Scary witches! Little George looks like he didn't get a nap. Or else he's embarrassed that he has to have his Mum come along.....again. And she had to dress up like that TOO. So humiliating!
I LOVE YOUR SKY!!! I know what you mean about that pigment ink. I've had some drying since 1978.
