Janette's sketch this week reminds me of the basic shape I use every time I doodle or sketch a flower....the oval. I started by cutting out the oval, and with a pencil drew another oval in the center. Then you keep going around making ovals to make the petals. You can make them wide or narrow at the tip for different looks. Then I take a black fine tip pen and go over the pencil marks and erase them, adding lines like doodling. Once you get the basic shape you can add double petals. To color the flower I used reinkers and a brush. It's very relaxing...TFL

Oooooooh love that blue daisy!! The yellow grid behind them really makes the flower pop! This is gorgeous!!

OH Awe-some....this blue beauty jumped out at me right away...LOVE the flower...then again my fav. color...;0). TY for sharing how you did it too, will have to try that, used to draw more things but haven't lately...love it and the yellow bg with it...super springy...TFS..:0)

Oh here we go again, Mrs. TV personality. Just last week I bookmarked your yellow flower and now I have to learn how to doodle oval flowers? This is wonderfully creative and so you, I must admit. Just a really neat card.
