Love the look! Did you use watercolor paper and do a wash of the watercolors on your background after stamping script in versamark and embossing but before stamping script in close to cocoa?
Did you direct to stamp watercolor for the marigold and then spritz with water before stamping? I love watercoloring and would like to recreate a similar look, if possible...
What is your source for the marigold? I love this image - please share!
All my best,
Nancy

Thanks, Nancy! Glad you like it. Now, let me see if I can remember what order I did everything in!
First, I did a light yellow wash on just the bottom corner of the taped off area of watercolor paper. I let it dry, and then stamped the French Script with Versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder(so later when I added the darker wash, the French Script would still show up light yellow). Then I stamped the French Script in Close to Cocoa on the top part. I hand drew the marigolds using watercolor pencils, and then went over it with a brush and water. I did a light yellow wash around the marigolds(carefully!), and then did a dark brown wash(although it looks more goldenrod) on the bottom, blending it up into a yellow-gold-orange-red wash in the top corner. Last, I stamped the Gentler Times image and embossed it in gold.
Hope this helps! I'd love to see what you come up with!
