My costume today is the Scarlet Letter worn by Hester Prynne in the book by the same name by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Can you imagine me in any other costume???
This card is for the Tickle a Teapotter. We were to be inspired by a favorite book character, and to dress appropriately. This book is one that is read by thousands of high schoolers, and I couldn't resist using the main character and the letter of shame she wore unabashedly.
In point of fact, the inside says "You are adorable", like the alphabet song (A, You're Adorable) of years ago. As a little girl, I remember dancing solo to this song on stage. So this card has many meanings!!Thanks for looking.

With the risk of sounding stupid, I am not familiar with the 'Scarlet Letter' - however .... the card is gorgeous!

Maybe if the red letter worn by Hester had been this beautiful all the women would have wanted to wear one and would have made her plight easier. Great idea Anne.

Well sheesh, I'm glad I knew I'd glimpsed you in the distance at the party, Anne, because I thought I'd just commented on every card in the gallery and I knew I hadn't seen yours. That A monogram is wonderful, and we all know you're not ashamed to love red, LOL.
Did you see I came as Harlequin - thank you for sending me my costume for the party.
