My costume today is the Scarlet Letter worn by Hester Prynne in the book by the same name by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Can you imagine me in any other costume???
This card is for the Tickle a Teapotter. We were to be inspired by a favorite book character, and to dress appropriately. This book is one that is read by thousands of high schoolers, and I couldn't resist using the main character and the letter of shame she wore unabashedly.
In point of fact, the inside says "You are adorable", like the alphabet song (A, You're Adorable) of years ago. As a little girl, I remember dancing solo to this song on stage. So this card has many meanings!!Thanks for looking.

I love it when personal stories become entwined in our craft. I read The Scarlet Letter, don't remember loving it a lot. Made me angry actually. I bet everyday is a 'red' letter day for you! Wonderful creation, so well thought out.
