Oy! Wasn't sure if I would be able to make it to the teaparty this week! Making a purse seemed like quite a challenge!!! Luckily, our dear Susie Australia saved the day and sent me a link to Louie V LOL This is the purse I made for less than $2.00:
The Bazzil paper is black, but it has a shine to it already. I have had it for quite a while and am so happy to have a use for it! I made the ridges with a woodgrain embossing folder I got at Hobby Lobby. The clutch measures 5.75" across by 3.50" height and .50" width. The "piping" along the edges is about .25" by 9.75" Although it may appear smaller in rearview mirrors. LOL I used velcro for a closure. For some reason I keep thinking I should cut a slit in the back and make it a masculine kleenex holder...Am I losing it??? LOL Thanks for taking a peek!!!

Oh my gosh Kathleen, I just looked at your LV link and I swear you did a "cut and paste". Your clutch purse is a brilliant copy and I love the price tag too!! This would make a great "card" for a gift voucher/certificate holder. Using the EF was a stroke of genius.....and no, you are not loosing it!

Adding the woodgrain embossing has given this such a rich, leather-like look, and I love the "bound" edges. You're the lucky one to have had velcro, I had to use up not just one but two of my magnetic snaps - but all for a good cause.
There's a fabulous [url=Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers leather wallet]tutorial in Resources, but it's not really mailable, your one is much more practical on that front. Just linking in case you'd like to try it another time .
