Oy! Wasn't sure if I would be able to make it to the teaparty this week! Making a purse seemed like quite a challenge!!! Luckily, our dear Susie Australia saved the day and sent me a link to Louie V LOL This is the purse I made for less than $2.00:
The Bazzil paper is black, but it has a shine to it already. I have had it for quite a while and am so happy to have a use for it! I made the ridges with a woodgrain embossing folder I got at Hobby Lobby. The clutch measures 5.75" across by 3.50" height and .50" width. The "piping" along the edges is about .25" by 9.75" Although it may appear smaller in rearview mirrors. LOL I used velcro for a closure. For some reason I keep thinking I should cut a slit in the back and make it a masculine kleenex holder...Am I losing it??? LOL Thanks for taking a peek!!!

Wow, such a neat purse and how you did it and yes, the cost is cheap enough for the elegant looking purse. Love the grain and shine it has and the finished edges are the finishing touch.

Kathleen,
I could definitely use a new black clutch - I was just telling someone the other day I had been looking around for a simple black leather clutch! Your clutch turned out really pretty and elegant!! I love it - you did an amazing job!
