I needed an idea for my husband's birthday card, and I found it when I saw this gorgeous bag book by Leigh O'Brien: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers because he always chuckles when he hears the word "hubby." I've also been wanting to do something with JulieHRR's terrific collapsible frame: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers The template is located in the Fan Club Forum. I adjusted it to be 5 x 7 instead of 5 x 5 to create this free-standing name frame, and it could be adjusted up to 8 1/2 inches wide to accommodate more letters. I used the Perfect Layers tool to cut the inside opening of the mat layer - very nifty! I really love how this turned out, and the 3D, shadow box effect of it. The letters are mounted on top of the argyle background, some on one dimensional and some on two. My husband fishes out of his kayak, and the dog in the bottom right corner is our dog Rumour, a Briard. I gave this to him today and he laughed out loud, and he loves it too.

All I can say is WOW Linda! This is wonderful. No wonder Bill was so excited over this card, and no wonder he said he hasn't seen you for days! You have been busy girl.

I just noticed the Paisley on the letters! It's especially cute the way the letters are set all fun and cockeyed and at different dimensions. He had to love it! It's so full of imaginative detail especially for him!
