Bertie and I had a rough day at work today. We got so mad at one point, we just wanted to spit nails. Instead, we came home and found some peace and relaxation in our stampin' room and thought it best to hook up with our teaparty lovin' friends who always make us smile and make the day brighter.
I know some of the tea partiers probably thought Bertie would be flingin' 42,000 pencils in honor of today's adventure (get the full story here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers, but we decided to go a different direction. We thought it might be fun to have a watermelon and cherry seed spittin' contest on the back of the bus. Our target? Why, that big ol' belly on Gus the bus driver! First one to get 42,000 seeds stuck to his belly wins the overstock supply of pencils that Lorraine mistakenly ordered for her school. Poor Lorraine. I bet those kids have been drivin' her crazy.
The cherry image was stamped, colored with Copic marker, cut out and Crystal Effects applied for their shine. The watermelon slices were made with circle punches; the seeds were edges I cut off of the middle flower from the boho blossoms punch.
I'm getting low on some of my favorite dp with these cherries, so I cut out a 1/4" frame to adhere to my red cardstock to help preserve some of it in my supply.
Mudder? Is that you? OMG, you're here? Woo-hoo! Hey, I done heard that Patricia Rose done brung us some special tea. I shore could use some 'bout now. Know what else? I always thought it'd be fun to drive a school bus; can I kick Gus outta his seat and drive it for a while? Huh? Pretty please with.....wait for it.....a CHERRY on top?!?!?

What sweet card! I love that you have a see spitting contest...imagine what that will be like in the play. Think I could play Bertie, Maxie can't even spit if she tried...you know the Parisian french they don't learn about those things. LOL
Love the dp, I'm so glad you joined the nutty group and smiled. Hugs...oooooohhhh....there, is that better.

Sorry you had such a hard day in work. But what's this about spitting the watermelon seeds?? The cherry pits yeah, sure, nobody would want to eat those. But I love crunching up the watermelon seeds.
Somehow doubt if cherry pits or watermelon seeds could have punctured poor ol' Snoopy's bus, so I guess that's Bertie off the hook this week anyway.
Hope today was better {{{hugs}}}.

OMG I don't think I have ever had a card make my mouth water - I need to go to the store and get some charries now! Great card! Watch where you aim those seeds and don't let CrazyKim start spitting or we are all in trouble!

Those cherries (on the card) look real - I had to seriously look twice at them! How fun - I love contests - can I play? The winner can have what is left in my candy bag. We may need to tidy up a bit after the contest - I think seeds can be be slippery and the way this bus driver is driving, we don't need any more hazards around!
