Splish, splash, I was takinÂ’ a bath
Long about a Monday night
A rub dub, just relaxinÂ’ in the tub
ThinkinÂ’ everything was alright
When what to my ears did I hear?
CominÂ’ down the track in the rain?
YellinÂ’ come on, Bertie, is party time
Why, itÂ’s the tea partiers on the birdbrain train
Well, I stepped out of the tub
I put my feet on the floor
I shook my tail feathers
and I headed for the door
There I saw da Mudder
ReelinÂ’ with the feelinÂ’
MovinÂ’ and a-groovinÂ’
A-wheelinÂ’ and a-dealinÂ’, yeah
Bing, bang, I saw the whole gang
Headed for Californ-iiii-aaaaa
Flip, flop they wuz doinÂ’ the bop
In celebration of momÂ’s 75th birthday
I began a-rollin' and a-strollin'
reelin' with the feelin'
movin' and a-groovin'
splishin' and a-splashin', yeah!
Hey, tea partiers! Are you a-movin' and a-groovin' this fine Tuesday? Be sure to check out Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday story in the challenges forum and come on board the Birdbrain Train where you're guaranteed to have lots of fun!
My bird and flowers were colored with Twinkling H20s; the center of the flowers and dots on the bird's shower cap were colored with pretty purple Smooch Broom sent to me (thanks, Hilda!); the bird bath was paper-pieced with SU dp; the sky was watercolored with bashful blue; and the grass and flower stems were colored with reinkers and blender pen. I applied Lavender glitter to my faux brads (1/4" circle punch).
I split up the birthday sentiment "Happy Bird-day to you" from Love Ya Bunches with a marker. The "to you" is stamped on a smaller circle and applied to the inside of the card.
Hope to see you at da tea party today! Bertie is movin' and a-groovin' to the tunes and flingin' soap bubbles today, so you're guaranteed not to get hurt or dirty!

Am definitely movin' and groovin' after this fine tune!!! Love, love, love your card... I see this little birdie is getting all clean for his flight to CA but alas, he'll have to do it all over again after that long flight... Darling, darling card, Charlene!

This is not my comment!
Bwahaha! Snort! Giggle! Snicker!
Hey, someone splished on my splash, bopped on my groove, wheeled on my deal and bumped me off the train! Probably Bertie, the Nerdy, trying to do that Birdbrain Twist! Those M & M induced hips took out most of the Gang! Hey, wait for me! Wait for me! When I get back up on the train and catch my breath, I'll teach ya all how to do da Teapot Tiddle....
No! Not piddle, TIDDLE! Somebody tell those birdies to quiet down their chirping! Holy cow!

Great poem! We can all recite it all along that long train ride...
Cute card, too. I am not sure I have ever seen a shower cap for a bird but it is probably a good idea. That is a clever way to attach the tag. Well done!

LOVE your song, Ms. Bertie and that is about the CUTEST image ever! Awesome DP, great layout, and love the way you split the sentiment. Your little bluebertie is getting all spiffed up for the big birthday bash. Won't it be fun?

Whew! Am I outa shape! Only reason I caught the train is because some of my teapotter friends told the engineer if he didn't slow down they would put arsenic in his tea! Worked like a charm!
Bertie, this card just rocks! What a perfect image for this challenge. She is about the cutest little birdie on the face of the earth, I mean the birdbrain train!
Hey, Byrdella wants to know where she got her bird bath. She is obsessed ya know....and doesn't have one quite like yours! Whisper: Charge her big bucks....she's gottem!!!

That is the sweetest bird complete with brush and soap.
I hope she dried her feet well before she started all that reelin' and groovin'. One of the guys in work had put lotion on his feet after a shower and then proceeded to slip on the floor and fall all the way downstairs, cracking several ribs and acquiring some almighty bruises. I'd hate for that to happen to your cutie.

Hats off to you, not only did you create a wonderful card but a song to go with it. I can almost catch the rhythm as the old wheels roll down the track.

Charlene, your card is so sweet. I love your bird bath ~ a good thing to have around after such a long flight to California. I guess the destination is Clovis and Victoria's Cottage. What a great card.
