Poppin' Rub-On's is a technique from the Technique Junkies Newsletter. Stamped trees in Versamark, applied Moonglow EP, tapped off, applied Iridescent EP, tapped off, heat embossed. Applied Silver Rub-Ons to trees, then burnished off trees with tissue. I wish the scan showed the sparkle of the Iridescent Ice EP.

Hi Yvette - Thanks to you and everyone for the wonderful compliments. I bought the Moonglow EP at my local craft store. The Metallic Rub-Ons I found at Meijer's, one of our local discount department stores. I'm not sure if Michaels or Joanne's carries them. I found this website for the Moonglow EP: http://www.lindystampgang.com/emboss.shtm and this website shows all the colors of the metallic rub-ons: http://www.stampin.com/online/accs/color.htm
I hope that helps. Linda

This is a gorgeous card! I've had the metallic rub ons for centuries and used them a bit but have always been fairly "under-whelmed" by them . . . that is until I logged on and saw your card. Now of course I want to pull them out and use them. So what I'm wondering is do you think we could make our own version of the Moonglow EP mixing Pearl Ex with embossing powder? I logged on the website you provided and it seems (to me anyway) to have the iridescence of Pearl Ex. Since I don't have access to any of this myself I thought I'd get your input. What "color" is Moonglow? It seems to be a blackish-plumy color with the sparkling and shine of Pearl Ex. Is that even close? I know scans don't always show the true beauty of the glimmer and glitz. Just wondering.

Hi Colleen - The Moonglow EP's range in color from very light to very dark and definitely look like they have mica powders in them. Those with the term "Obsidian" in the name are a deeper, richer color and extra shimmery. I hope the following advice from Kristy Flory about mixing your own PE embossing powders (which I found in the Technique Junkies discussion group files) helps you out: EMBOSSING POWDERS: Pearl Ex can also be mixed with embossing powders to create custom colors of embossing powders. This is a lot of fun to do. Just remember, it takes VERY LITTLE powdered pigment when mixing with embossing powders. Keep track of what colors you mix and in what quantities, just in case you create something you love and want to be able to mix it up again in the future. (Try a ratio of 1 Tbls embossing powder with 1/4 tsp. Pearl Ex and see what you think. The interference colors are a great choice for doing this.) You can also add ultra fine glitter to the mix for a unique effect.

This has to be one of the prettiest cards I have seen done with this set. I got this set because of all the beautiful cards done with it. Yours is so vibrant and rich. I know we aren't rating cards any more, but if we were you would certainly get a 100 (yes I said 100) from me.
