Hi! This card was made for today's Limited Supply Challenge: Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man. Participants were to make MANLY cards that did not have flowers, bling, or ribbon-(twine was acceptable).
I went to visit my mother yesterday, and she asked that I make a series of cards for my father, for after mother passed away. I was quite shocked that she wanted me to make these, as she is an artist, and could very well paint for him. She said, "My dear, I want you to be part of this journey, so that you will remember, too." It seems she recently saw, "P.S. I Love You," and decided she wanted Dad to have "help" from her after she was gone.
She insisted upon an anniversary card that mentioned dreams. So, I chose this sentiment to go with the tree. (I think Dad said something about dreams when he proposed to her...not really clear about the details...)One finished...11 more to go.
The image was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and the colors are CHALKS that were sponged in and then WATERCOLORED in with an aqua painter!

Faith, your story really touched me. I admire your strength through this challenge and know what it must mean to your Mom to be able to talk to you this openly. Your Dad is sure to be touched when he receives this. It's just gorgeous while being very manly. HUGs! Kathy

Gorgeous card! I loved that movie and cried like a baby. How sweet of your Mom to want to leave your Dad some messages. And how sweet of her to involve you in this project. It's a sad project, but I think it will be wonderful for your Dad.
