I haven't done the color challenge in forever!! I smooshed a panel of wc cs with DI in colors as close as I could come to today's colors and then splattered some additional black on the panel. Cut off a portion of this panel and adhered to card front. Die cut the tree, punched the bird, but felt it needed some "grounding" so I also cut a narrow strip of black and embossed the sentiment on this. Adhered the strip, bird and tree. I like the image of a bird for sympathy because I think it sends the message that this is not the end.

Wow Maura, the bg sky is so striking and dramatic. You did such a great job using this week's colors. The silhouette bird and black border balance the card so nicely.
Perfect choice to do the sentiment in white.
