Happy 4th July, to all of those celebrating today!
Linda's fun challenge for the WTUI is to use our state or country flower.
Well, inasmuch as Ireland has a national flower it's the shamrock, and I only just got this set last week - the only shamrock stamp in my collection, so that was good timing!
Not quite forty shades of green, but I used Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters and Peackock Feathers to create a wrinkle-free distress background. Then I stamped the verse in black, and the shamrocks in Smokey Grey. They're coloured with Polychromos pencils and touched up with a white gel pen. I pierced all round the edges, and even added some old-time dry embossing with a Fiskars template and stylus. Base card was sponged with Peeled Paint distress stain.

I love the shamrock and all the stories and luck that goes with it...lucky girl...:0)....was GREAT timing, and such a pretty way to commission your new set. Love your bg and the neat touch of blue, with all the extra touches, like the embossing and piercing...got so excited with that and reading about your cool moms tart tin( which would be so awesome...:0)...), I forgot to read the sentiment...will be lovely, I know as its near the cool shamrocks...will ahve to get a white gel pen too as I have seen a few times now the little touches you can do with it and its so cool...TFS...now off to read your sentiment, and make supper...have a great day..:0)

This is a gorgeous card. I love the shades of green, and the bg, that you created, is very pretty. I like the stitching around the edge, and the piercing in the corners adds great texture. Love the shamrocks, and the wonderful Irish blessing. tfs.
