Happy 4th July, to all of those celebrating today!
Linda's fun challenge for the WTUI is to use our state or country flower.
Well, inasmuch as Ireland has a national flower it's the shamrock, and I only just got this set last week - the only shamrock stamp in my collection, so that was good timing!
Not quite forty shades of green, but I used Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters and Peackock Feathers to create a wrinkle-free distress background. Then I stamped the verse in black, and the shamrocks in Smokey Grey. They're coloured with Polychromos pencils and touched up with a white gel pen. I pierced all round the edges, and even added some old-time dry embossing with a Fiskars template and stylus. Base card was sponged with Peeled Paint distress stain.

Very pretty shamrocks with your shades of green. When my mom and dad were in Ireland, they said there were MORE than 40 shades. What a pretty card you made, Sabrina, with the lovely prayer and embossing. Hugs, my friend!

Beautiful card Sabrina!!! LOVE all the details on here. In regards to you comment on my card...I think carnations just remind me of funerals. They are the dominate flower in funeral arrangements, so that is what their fragrance always seem to remind me of!!! My mom and daughter love carnations too, but I rather have roses!!

What a stunning and inspiring card, Sabrina! That quote is my dad's favorite, so your card really jumped out at me today. I hope I have the chance to visit Ireland one day!

Wow! Absolutely love your background, Sabrina! Green is my favorite color, so it wasn't hard to love your 40 shades of green. I am partial to this technique too, and yours can out beautifully. Love the new addition to your stamp collection!
Sabrina, I love the Irish Blessing. I sang in a small traveling chorale in college and we sang the blessing at the end of each sacred concert. You have brought back special and warm memories to me with your gorgeous card.

Sabrina, you did a beautiful job coloring the image and the background. The softness of the background brings this all together.
