They made me think of this retired SU set Seasonal Birds and I thought this would make a fun Mother's Day card. I used the Fancy Tags die to make a "plate rack". I cut the center part of that out using a rectangle die.
Each bird was stamped and punched with a 1 1/2" circle. I colored the birds with colored pencils (which acts as a resist since they're wax based) and then sponged background color in. I pressed each circle into a Versamark pad and then coated it with Glassy Glaze EP and clear EP. I melted this and then did another coat of clear powder and melted that for a smooth finish.
I wasn't really sure how to finish the card. It might have worked better to just do a long rectangle card for this, but I went with a 5" X 7" to fit the length of the "plate rack". So to balance the card I embossed the bottom left corner of the card with the Elegant Bouquet folder from SU and then added a greeting.

!!! What a very inspired use of fancy tags and one of my favorite retired sets. I feel a CASE coming on--this is definitely safely tucked away in my favorites.
This is absolutely AMAZING! You did an incredible job capturing your inspiration on your card design. Those little bird plates are the CUTEST! And that flourish makes the perfect little plate stand! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
