This dp is one I've had for a long time and have been saving it cuz it's a fav...I'm using it for today's challenge because of the golden color. We were to be inspired by a recipe and I chose my grandma's caramel frosting. She would make a yellow cake and then frost it with this totally yummy frosting made mostly from brown sugar and butter....you had to boil it for several minutes to make it thicker. When it sets it's almost the consistency of a fudge...anyway that was what I thought of when I made this card. It's going out to JoAnn, sister of Pat (pvilbaum)...I hope it brings her some cheer.

I have always been fascinated with the thought that caramel is made with butter and sugar. Kind of magical I think. Beautifully colored flowers and I love the die cut frame!

Polly, what a beautiful sunny Springtime image, full of hope and life. I'm sure JoAnn will love it - I know I do. That daffodil-yellow lacy layer is fab. So is your beautiful hoarded paper.

OMG...that cake/frosting sounds amazing. I've never heard of it nor have I had it. And, I don't think my grandma ever made cake (that I can remember). You've got a lovely collection of elements on this card Polly. So pretty. And now, I'm going to have to go look up that frosting recipe.

What a gorgeous creation, Polly. Those yellows you used are so pretty...I can almost taste that yummy frosting. The dp is wonderful and I can see why it is a favorite of yours. The sweet little boquet of flowers looks terrific with that elegant die cut frame. Sending long over due hugs and hellos sweet friend.
