I just found out that my backyard neighbor, Ben, passed away while I was out of town to see my mom. We had spent MANY years visiting over the fence as we both tended to our flower gardens so I knew his family would appreciate this very personalized sympathy card.
I stamped the can of sunflowers and colored with prismacolor pencils then sponged in some clouds. I stamped the tools on scrap stock then fussy cut so I could randomly scatter them throughout my little scene - like a man just called temporarily from his task. Finished with this old SU sentiment which definitely sums up Ben's life as I knew him.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your neighbor. I am sure the family will love the personalized card you created. The fussy cutting on those tools is really terrific especially knowing how small they are too. Gorgeous card you created.

Oh, sweet Linda, what a beautiful and tender card you've made for your neighbor's family. I absolutely love the meaning of the sentiment and how you've left the garden tools scattered just like he's been called home. I agree with Linda...my favorite card! So touching! Hugs and love! xoxo

What a lovely tribute, Linda. How blessed you were and will be with this charming card for Ben's family. Our neighbors are important cogs in our wheels. I especially like the hope of heaven in those clouds.
